As a Relief Driver, you will report to work daily and will fill in for any callouts. If you are not needed on a route that night, you are responsible for assisting with warehouse responsibilities and remaining on call at the warehouse to potentially assist with freight recovery runs.Duties and Responsibilities- Ability to work NIGHTSHIFT Monday to Friday. As a relief driver, your start time will vary based on the route you are covering that evening. Our routes depart between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. You would start anytime between then.- Drop and hook loads, line hauls, or direct to dealership.- Touch freight – but must be able to load and unload heavy items up to 70 lbs.- Home every day.- Exceptional customer contact and driving skills.- Drivers will be required to interact with customers, warehouse leaders and associates, and store leaders and associates.- Drivers will also be expected to update orders via a handheld device systemically.- Drive a CDL Class A vehicle on local routes.- Communicate delivery updates to customers.- Any additional duties assigned.- Climb in and out of the delivery cab to accommodate customer deliveries throughout the day.Qualifications- Requires intermittent periods during which continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.- Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.- Valid, active Class A Driver's License.- Must be 21 or older.- Clean Motor Vehicle Record and Background.- MUST HAVE 2 years of CDL Class A Driving Experience.- Must pass DOT physical, criminal check, and drug screen.- As a CDL Class A Driver, you must be a team player with excellent customer service skills and the commitment to succeed.- Qualified candidates are self-motivated, responsible, highly organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced and constantly changing environment, all with a positive attitude.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, or disability.
