We are searching for a Semi-Truck Driver, paid by the load, for local and overnight routes.JOB SUMMARY:PAID BY THE LOAD!Home every weekend!Home nightly!Based out of Uniontown, PA, covering Western PA, Northern WV, and OhioTake flatbeds to the mill Have flatbeds loadedInspect the vehicle for mechanical items and safety issues, and perform preventative maintenanceComply with truck driving rules and regulations, as well as company policies and proceduresManeuver the truck into the loading and unloading positionsReport defects, accidents, or violationsKeep the vehicle clean and safe at all timesOther duties as assigned by the ManagerSKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:Valid CDLClean driving recordBe safety conscious, have a positive attitudeHave and maintain an excellent attendance recordPre-employment physical and pass a DOT drug screenWear personal protective equipment at the loading and unloading pointsExtensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulationsAdaptability and foresight in handling unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.).EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:High school diploma or equivalentCDL – Class ACertificate from an accredited CDL school21 years or olderAt least six months of OTR experiencePHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to sit for long periods of timeAbility to drive for extended periods of time (approximately 475 miles round-trip per day)Ability to climb up to the bin and onto the truck trailerEqual Opportunity EmployerThis employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
