Server duties are to focus on interaction with guests, fellow workers and management in a professional service industry manner.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
● Extensive working knowledge of food and beverages available daily to maximize sales, including ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens
● Practice the art of upselling with each table
● Adhere to Steps of Service as propagated by General Manager and brand standards, when applicable
● Create a hospitable, welcoming environment for all guests in the dining room, with approachable presentation of knowledge and ability to execute professional service
● Enforce Federal, State and City laws and ordinances in the handling and provision of alcoholic beverages.
● Adhere to and abide by cash handling procedures as developed by national and local management
● Serving wine, beer and liquor in proper proportions and glassware and charging proper prices for beverages
● Serving of food from the proper menus, providing quality control and charging the proper prices for food
● Maintain cleanliness of work areas including sidestations, floor, shelves, and storage areas
● Maintain an organized workspace, keeping and storing things in their proper places
● Ensure that work areas are properly supplied with glassware, garnishes, silverware, napkins, pens, paper, and other appropriate supplies
● Attend tastings and trainings as mandated by Management
● Ability to maintain positive guest experience and exceed guest expectations
● Maintain a well-groomed, polished appearance and navigate dining room efficiently
● Keep working knowledge of Mad Cow brand, history, culture, and programming, both in restaurant and private events
● Perform other related duties as assigned by Management and the General Manager
